Leather Tips
- Keep your leather clean by vacuuming it with a soft brush or use a duster on a regular basis.
- Central heating and double glazing tend to dry out leather so; wipe your leather with a damp cloth on a monthly basis to keep it supple.
- Do not use baby wipes on leather they can break down the polymer coating that protects the pigments.
- Wipe up any spills as they happen
- Do not attempt to cover up scratches with boot polish as it will transfer to clothing.
- If you have a cat treat it to a scratching post.
- Aniline leather will fade in time. If your furniture is on a bright window it may be advisable to draw the curtains or blinds.
- Do not place your leather furniture too close to the radiator.
- Denim Jeans have a tendency to crock or transfer their colour on to leather. An application of a leather protector will help prevent this occurring.
