Will using water ruin my carpet?
Approximately 95% of the amount of water used in our cleaning process is removed by industrial-strength vacuums. In the case of wool, it likes being cleaned, the central cuticle of wool becomes crushed through wear, during the cleaning process it absorbs 33% moisture and naturally re-bulks, and once the moisture has evaporated the carpet remains bulked and rejuvenated.
How long will it take for my carpet to dry?
Drying times depend on humidity levels, air flow to the rooms cleaned and the type of carpet. By raising the temperature and opening windows to increase air flow to remove increased humidity your carpets should dry in between 2-6 hours. In most cases it is possible to walk on carpets as soon as we are finished (just remember to remove outdoor shoes first to avoid re-soiling).
I've heard that cleaning my carpet makes it soil faster. Is this true?
The cleaning methods used by Bright and Fresh rinse virtually all cleaning agents out of the carpet so that they will not attract soils. However if there were the slightest reside left the products we use are fully bio-degradable and will break down fully in one week.
How long do I have to wait after cleaning to let my children or pets on the carpet?
The carpet may be walked on with clean feet or shoes immediately after cleaning; however, we recommend limiting activity on the carpet to this foot traffic until it is completely dry. You will also need to take care when walking from damp carpets on to any hard surface as damp feet may cause a slip and fall hazard.
Do I need to move my furniture before the technician arrives?
We will move the furniture as long as it is manageable and would strongly recommend that you remove any precious items (vases, lamps, sculptures, etc). However, there are several items we will not move, such as: pianos, electronics, china cabinets, waterbeds, large beds, dressers with mirrors, pool tables, etc. We do suggest you remove items off of your furniture like plants, lamps and knickknacks.
Will the cleaning agents used harm my children or pets?
Our cleaning solutions are very safe as over the years we have sought out Bio-degradable products that are made from renewable source. While it is both family- and environmentally-friendly, it is always a good idea to limit contact between the recently cleaned carpet and your children or pets.
On occasions we may need to spot treat local areas to remove stains but we make a point of informing the home owner before the treatment commences and then flush out any harmful products.
Do I have to be home while my carpet is being cleaned?
It is not necessary for you be home while your carpet is cleaned because our technicians are thoroughly trained professionals you can trust. In order to provide the best possible service, we do recommend that someone is home before we begin cleaning to discuss any specific needs or areas of concern regarding the care of your carpet.
Can I have both my area rug and the carpet that it sits on cleaned at the same time?
We generally find that rugs are often forgotten when it comes to cleaning, giving us the problem of several years of imbedded soil that needs removing, that poses many problems when cleaning in your property so we tend to clean rugs in our purpose built rug cleaning workshop. It gives us more control during the cleaning and especially during drying process, that's when colours may start to run. By having the rugs in our workshop we are able to speed dry them reducing any problems that may occur.
What should I do if the stains that were cleaned reappear?
Although most stains that are removed from carpet do not reappear, deep stains in carpet backing may wick to the surface after cleaning. If this happens, contact us as soon as possible. And we will return and attend to the area.
How do you guarantee customer satisfaction?
